In 2019, Mel was diagnosed with secondary-stage breast cancer ten years after her initial battle in 2009. The news came as a shock and forced us to reflect deeply on what truly matters in life. We realized that the traditional 9-to-5 lifestyle wasn’t what brought us joy or fulfilment. We yearned for something more – a life centred around meaning, connection, and peace.
Just before the world went into lockdown, we discovered a beautiful piece of land in North Cyprus, home to 29 olive trees. Mel felt an instant connection to the land, and together, we began to dream of a different future. With the help of a local architect who understood our vision, we designed our forever home – a sanctuary where people could escape the busyness of life.
Today, we have created a space where family, friends, and those seeking solace can join us in pausing, reconnecting with nature, and rediscovering purpose. It’s a place to reflect, heal, and embrace life’s challenges in a nurturing environment. This is more than a home for us; it’s a home for many. Come and pause with us in North Cyprus.
