I visited PAUSE with my family and friends, to attend a summer solstice alignment retreat hosted by Mel & Shell, delivered by @soulbeatswithgeets The house itself is modern and very well equipped, very spacious, super comfortable and the AC system is perfect (especially if like me, you need blackout to sleep). My room slept two adults and a young child comfortably, all rooms have an ensuite and are soundproof too for extra privacy. Mel & Shell have designed and built a space where you can switch off from the world and just be present, sit in nature and birdsong and enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The most significant part of my stay was the investment from Mel & Shell, they weren't just offering accommodation, they were fully invested in us, connecting with us and having conversations about things that deeply impact us, which we cannot openly have in everyday life. Mel & Shell live and breathe their ethos and values, and they move with pure intention. There is an elevated level of grounding and practice of gratitude within their presence. Their home is located close by to a supermarket, where we bought a 7kg watermelon for less than £6! They've built a community as the following day, there were three huge watermelons left at their front door! Coming from London - that is gold!! Mel is also so in tune with nutrition, she knows exactly what your body needs and will make it for the next meal with ease 🙏🏼 It was truly a home from home experience, and holding the alignment retreat at PAUSE was the perfect location and setting. We managed to visit multiple beaches with crystal clear water, and actually experience North Cyprus without the confinement of a resort.
